Was Anonym at The Garrison Pub Eatery Calgary a mag?
We went to The Garrison Pub late on a Tuesday night and it was packed, there was literally one table open. And there wasn't even entertainment that night or anything. The food was good and it arrived in a decent amount of time even though it was busy. Decent selection of beer. Good service. What Anonym dislikes about The Garrison Pub Eatery Calgary:
This is not your usual pub atmosphere or food. The place is beautiful, but my lunch was disappointing. I ordered red ice cream series chicken with fresh vegetables. Although the presentation saw very appetite for the vegetables was only burned, not cooked. I would have asked our server to return it to the kitchen, but she did not return to our table until she presented our bill, no excuse from the kitchen. It was ver... View all feedback.

I remember going here a number of years ago and getting a great burger. My current experience matched if not exceeded my memories. I had the Garrison Burger - basically, a tricked out bacon cheese burger. It had a fresh made patty cooked to perfection, still juicy, well-melted cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and pickle on I think a brioche bun. It was very well seasoned and very tasty, served reasonably quickly for the quality. I had a side salad that was very good with slivered almonds, strawberries, and a very good vinaigrette. My dining companion had the wings special and the tomato basil soup - both very good. We shared a side of fries as well and what arrived was a large dinner sized plate heaped with excellent, very tasty french fries. Our waitress was relaxed, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere (military touches befitting the name and former military base in the area) was very nice. We went on a Monday night and it was not too busy or loud.

And... ther's a dish of hard candies by the door. All in all, worth it.

When the Garrison opened it filled a gap in our community: the place for a good pub. The food is excellent, the service is always great and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. We come from the Maritimes so we know something about pubs--including how scarce they are in Calgary. Not a month goes by without a night and meal at the Garrison. A rave review seems long overdue.

The Garrison Pub Eatery was a wonderful experience. The service was top notch and very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The decor was bright and paid tribute to military veterans of the past. I had the house burger which was amazing, made from fresh ground beef and absolutely loaded with toppings. It was as massive as it was delicious. I will absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: The Garrison Burger

Reliable food and it’s always busy. I’m glad this local all-generation pub thrives. Some non-stool seating would invite more seniors. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
