So this means that a street festival is happening and a lot of Potter Characters are walking around in Cosplay garb.PRLR put out a special kids/adults menu as it turned itself into Grimmauld place for the day. Went here for cocktails with the girls one Friday evening. Nice enough place, funky space with funky decor. Drinks were ok, but broke the $13 mark for most cocktails. I enjoyed the Rum concoction I had but when we tried to reorder a different drink that my friend had it came to the table tasting very different and not as good as the first round. So this means that a street festival is happening and a lot of Potter Characters are walking around in Cosplay garb.PRLR put out a special kids/adults menu as it turned itself into Grimmauld place for the day. We were able to get my daughter a Potter themed drink and a hot dog while the adults had a couple of drinks "Felix Fellicius" rum drink and a Sirius Black Ale. Good fun and decently priced.
Great place to hang out and have a few drinks ! The bartenders are very attentive ! Fun atmosphere ,funky decor ! It's a must try ! I will definitely go back for drinks !
Nice location and ambiance. It has two "people watching" tables at the front and more intimate seating in the back. The scotch whisky menu, while not extensive, has some whiskies that you wouldn't find in most restaurants/pubs.

We visited PRLR earlier this year when they had a relatively limited cocktail menu. We tasted several of their cocktails and they were for the most part quite good, albeit nothing special. There is now an expanded cocktail menu, but unfortunately, on our last visit, we were unable to sample them, and here is why: Last Sunday, the area around this establishment was the epicenter of some sort of a Harry Potter festival in which local Kensington businesses pretended to be part of Diagon Alley. Most of Kensington was overrun with hordes of Harry Potter fans, and PRLR was therefore busier than usual. Nonetheless, we managed to get a table, and were presented with the above mentioned expanded cocktail menu. We selected 3 different cocktails and then waited, and waited, and waited....Our server was nowhere to be seen, and in the meantime, our table continued to display piled up dirty glasses from the previous round of patrons. Finally, after 15 minutes we managed to make contact with our server. Another few additional minutes went by before she told us that the bar tender was too busy, and all they would be able to serve us was their Harry Potter feature drink (which sounded uninteresting). Great! Thanks for telling us this after we sat at a dirty table for 20 minutes. Unimpressive!

Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Kensington, this newly opened cocktail bar is a welcome addition to Calgary's dining scene. I am grateful to be living in Kensington where I can easily enjoy such a fantastic spot.

This bar is amazing! Bring your close friends and make new ones too. The food is top-notch and they have the best cocktails in town.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of cocktails and delicious food. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is fantastic. The location is also perfect. I will definitely return for another visit!
