This is a popular place to eat. We arrived at 6ish on a Friday night and basically got the last seat in the pub section. Our waitress was super friendly but probably overworked. It seemed like she was too busy as we were missing menus, utensils and condiments. It took a while but we eventually got some ketchup. The food arrived promptly and tasted great. I love the fajitas here. Someone came and asked me how the meal... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Montana's BBQ & Bar:
Did dinner on a Sunday evening. Wasn't very busy but still had to wait to be seated since hostess was not around but busy cleaning tables. Then the wait really started. Had to wait at least 20 minutes for server to take order and another 30 minutes for salad to arrive. Main courses took another 10 minutes. The braised beef skillet which was ordered had a generous serving of beef but the pieces were tough and somewhat... View all feedback.
I would give this restaurant a zero if I could. The service was terrible, the worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant. I came here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and the waitress barely checked on us or asked if we needed anything. When she finally did come over, we had to ask for refills, which she should have noticed. The food was also terrible, and she didn't even acknowledge my boyfriend's birthday or sing to him. She just wanted to confirm the coupon and then walked away. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place.
We went to Montana's to celebrate my grandson's 18th birthday and brought a cake with us. We handed it to the host, who assured us he would inform our server. However, after waiting for an hour and a half for our food, we realized that two tables who arrived after us had already been served. I had to inquire with our server about our order and also reminded her about the cake. She seemed to be aware of it, but it took a while for them to bring out a dish of ice cream with a cookie and a hat for my grandson. The plates from our first course were still on the table when this dessert arrived. At some point, I asked another server about the cake and was informed that the host had failed to mention it. When the cake finally came out, it had only two of the candles we had provided. The food was decent, but the service was disappointing. As a result, we do not plan on returning to Montana's in the future.
We decided to dine at this restaurant before catching a movie, making it a dinner and movie night for us. The location is very convenient, as it is located very close to the movie theaters. The service we received was excellent and the food was quite tasty, although there was a bit of a wait for our dishes to arrive. My husband and I shared the big smoker plate, which included ribs, a build your own pulled pork half sandwich, breaded shrimp, and a house-smoked chorizo sausage. This platter also came with cornbread, coleslaw, and seasoned fries. It was a generous amount of food for two people, although there is an even larger option available for those with bigger appetites. Despite the wait, the food was delicious. It was a bit puzzling as to why we had to wait so long, especially since the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. By the time we left, it had started to fill up. We also ordered two cups of coffee, which were served in large outdoor mugs, adding a nice touch. Additionally, they provided a bucket for bones and wet napkins to clean our hands after our meal, which we found to be a thoughtful gesture. Montana's BBQ is a chain restaurant, but we were impressed with their excellent service and good food at reasonable prices. We would definitely consider going back and recommending it to others.
We have been here a few times. The food is ok. I find all the large chains like BP's, Tony Roma's, etc. offer average quality dishes that look good in the pictures. We had a 20% off coupon to use so we still ate here. I had a steak dish, it was again ok. The steak wasn't seasoned that well, but it was cooked the way I requested. It came with a small cup of beans and a loaded baked potato that wasn't bad, but you could tell it and the plate had been ready for awhile and sat under a heat lamp. My wife had the ribs with mashed potatoes that also sat under a heat lamp for awhile. She also added the kapow shrimp which tasted pretty good. For an extra $5 you could get this in an all you can eat side. I will say the prices for the entrees are a few dollars cheaper than many other places and the service was good, they checked on us many times.
It is nice to have some options during covid. Tiered of pizza and burgers ! Picked up some ribbs etc, which unfortunately were dried out. I phoned back and they gave me a complimentary replacement for next time. When I ordered again, the manager was Super accommodating. I was Very impressed with the Excellent service. I'll be back !
