Masa Sushi - Calgary

This place is great! The sushi is delicious...everything is! To top it all off they throw in an entree if you spend $50. Its totally worth it. I'll be back.

I enjoyed the sushi here! This surprised me because I've been on a bad steak with trying new sushi restaurants. I was surprised and relieved that Masa didn't have fridge-cold rice like a lot of other places do. I only tried one roll (their house special roll) and three pieces of nigiri (chopped scallop, salmon, tuna). The nigiri had decent-sized slices of fish. The roll was pretty decent too.<br/ <br/ The atmosphere was nice.<br/ <br/ Service was a bit slow even though we were literally the only ones in the restaurant. Waitress didn't check up on us a lot, but when we did have her attention she was friendly.<br/ <br/ The prices during the day are a bit lower than at dinner for the same rolls.<br/ <br/ Overall: While I can't say it's the best sushi in the city, it's one of the better places in the area if you're willing to risk slow service. Will happily eat here again.<br/ <br/ Edit:<br/ <br/ May 2019. I still like it here.<br/ <br/ This is my 2nd favourite sushi place in the area. #1 is still Kinjo.<br/ <br/ Tried their fried California roll. Tasty!! I'll probably crave this and get again!!<br/ <br/ Spicy Salmon roll. Good. Won't crave it. But don't regret getting it.<br/ <br/ Creamy scallop roll. It's good. It has a big hunk of cucumber, though. I might stick to the creamy scallop nigiri next time.<br/

This place has become an almost weekly stop for my family! Service is excellent and the food is of great quality! I really like their sushi and their ginger chicken is one of the best in town<br/

It's really unfortunate Masa Sushi doesn't get more business. This is our third time at the restaurant, and it the food has consistently been fresh and very tasty. The hostess was very accomodating, paid a lot of attention to our table, and was an overall friendly person. The seven spice fried squid was exceptionally tasty, and very crispy.

We come here for take out occasionally.  The service is always good, they give decent sized portions and the price is reasonable.  We usually just get tempura udon and have always been happy with it.  Would recommend.
