Catch Restaurant & Oyster Bar - Calgary

Like the ambience at Catch. Staff were good...hostess was great... but very sad to see the scallop starter I liked (lite meal after several apples! had been discontinued. (We had a few tempera shrimp and 18 oysters to share before ordering our entrees. I only discovered this after I ordered the one main that had scallops thinking it must be the dish I 'd ordered a few times before It wasn 't. Although the scallops (plentiful were delicious the dish itself was totally uninspiring! It was devoid of colour except for the 8 or so green string beans draped across the 'vanilla ' (why? flavoured risotto surrounded on outside by about 7 decent sized scallops. The risotto flavour was a surprise and ok but I would not order it again. The Asian inspired scallop starter should be returned to the menu! Promptly! Make it an entree if you wish..? My husband had snapper and the other gentleman had halibut ... but such a tiny portion. Neither were served vegetables that were anything like what came with the steak my lady friend ordered... lovely! Presentation is paramount to enjoyment of a meal. Adequate portions is up there there as well. The desserts were delicious. Creme brûlée and Brownie... to share for 4. Thank you...

Exceptional restaurant. We visit Calgary just to go to The Oyster Bar. The staff are always very friendly and the service is excellent. The food is wonderful and we love the oysters and mussels. You never feel hurried and we love watching the chefs cooking in the open kitchen.

Excellent menu, tasty and well presented! I like the oyster specials and the service is always very friendly!

One of our favourite places. Never disappoints. Catch Happy Hour if you can. Superb.
