Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in question seems to have a mix of reviews, with some customers having negative experiences while others enjoyed their time there. Issues with the quality of the food and service were mentioned in several reviews, along with disappointments over portion sizes and prices. On the positive side, the ambiance, location, and meals like the tenderloin and chocolate dessert received high praise. The restaurant also hosts special themed evenings with excellent service and delicious food. Overall, opinions were divided on whether to return, but the restaurant's ambiance and special events seem to leave a lasting impression on diners.
Sunday brunch is my all time favourite meal and I was impressed with the creative dishes and the flavour of the menu items.
It was my first time and for sure not my lastI was there for their Cork & Cuisine and I gave them the highest rating a yelper could give.
Rustic historical mansion nestled in beautiful Fish Creek National Park in CalgaryAnd for more than one reason my favorite restaurant in Calgary.
We had booked a table for 8 on Aug 2 @ 8:00 PM, a fairly late reservation. I had arrived later than my guests but we were greeted promptly and friendly. Our servers name was Martin and checked on us regularly. He even offered to take some photos before dinner started. The space was cozy and warm, not too many guests on a Wednesday and we were the last to leave for the evening. We really appreciated the staff staying late. (And more pictures to follow outside by photographer Martin.)Birthday girl enjoyed her gin inspired cocktail, other guests enjoyed wine and cider. The chef offered out table a little h'orderves to start our evening. Charcuterie was plentiful with lots of wild game. Majority of us had the tenderloin that was cooked to perfection and nice accompaniments, one friend had the vegetarian pasta and she enjoyed it as well. Over all the food was delightful. The staff even gave the birthday girl a free dessert.I would definitely suggest Bow Valley Ranche to anyone that is looking for a romantic, cozy, tucked away gem for a great dinner and atmosphere. Thanks to the Chefs and Martin that made our night a great one!
I took my friend for dinner as a thank-you for helping me with the design and decor for my daughter's at-home wedding this past spring. I wanted to treat her to a memorable dinner in a beautiful setting and while it had been awhile since I'd been to The Ranche, I couldn't think of a better venue. And I was right. We had the tenderloin followed by a chocolate dessert that was to die for. It was a delicious meal, excellent service and perfect atmosphere. It couldn't have been better.
