Rouge - Calgary

Overrated we took the tasting menu and were disappointed all along... the worse being a piece of sweaty gruyère suisse cheese supposed to be a course. We won’t go again.

Excellent go-to for a great evening out. Typically we have the wine pairings with the tasting menu. There is only been once in all our times going where on dish was a bit lacking (braised beef . But, without hesitation, they provided another dish which was...the duck confit (super awesome amazing dish!!! . Definitely recommend as a romantic, high-end Dining location in Calgary.

You always want the best for your daughters wedding and we had the best. The servers, food quality and value, facility and property all were fantastic. Don't hesitate to book handled our 85 person with professional ease.

I my husband were taken here by friends for a special birthday celebration. None of us have been to the Rouge for a number of years. Our past experiences and memories were all positive. Unfortunately we all felt that it has really gone down...hill from our last meal experiences. For one, the amount of food (or more the lack thereof you get is astonishing for the cost they are charging. It could all fit onto a bread plate, all three courses, and for the exorbitant price it was very lacklustre to say the least. When one orders Cornish hen, one would expect at least half a hen not one tiny little 4inch long 1/2 inch wide piece of a hen! We all laughed, who would even serve this under the title “Cornish hen”, totally bizarre. All “pretty” little plates(emphasis on “little” that were made for pics on whatever social media you belong to. None of which were memorable in taste only in the pocketbook. You left feeling like you’ve just been taken advantage of, no balance as far as size and taste=price! Sorry Rouge, you won’t be seeing many of us back until this gets rectified. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.
