The Argyle St. Grill - Caledonia

We arrived at the restaurant around 5.15pm after the theatre.Our party was 4 people. It was busy and a bit noisy. We were shown to a booth. The server took our orders for drinks almost immediately. There was a little wait for the drinks. She returned a little later for our orders. Then we waited an hour for the food. Everyone said their dinner was good, but the wait took away from the enjoyment of dinner out. I mentioned the long wait to our server, and the story of a sick cook was told. But, I would think twice before returning.

Greetings all, We knew we could expect to wait to be seated at this venue, since it was wing night. Wait was 15-20 minutes as promised, no problem.I think the rush was subsiding however; while we waited what seemed like forever (45 minutes) for our mains, tables around us emptied quickly. Our drinks had arrived quickly, nice; getting a second was a chore in more WAITING.Small salads are a decent size; one of our party loves the Cobb salad here and was not disappointed; wings were okay. One of us liked the perch, one did not.It is the poor service that was the most outstanding memory. If the kitchen is behind, just say so, show your face at the table once in awhile, and everyone would be satisfied. Atmosphere - meh.

\nice enough restaurant with decent food. However, every time I eat here they mess up my order. Most recently, the server laughed at my reaction to the wrong order. There is a reason I ask for gluten free.

We have eaten here many times.Yes...it is busy....yes you have to wait sometimes....but if you want fast food...go across the road!!!!! The food is mostly sourced in the area. It is beautifully presented...and properly prepared.The only problem we have found is it can be noisy as the floor space is limited...however this has not kept us away !!!!

Stopped in for an early dinner and The Argyle was hopping! We were greeted and seated quickly. Service was great. Friendly, attentive. Nice assorted of cold beers on tap. Prime rib (Saturday special) delicious with incredibly sweet local corn. Ordered medium rare and that is what was served. Other meal was generous plate of 1/4 lb perch with oodles of tasty fries and yummy coleslaw. Bread pudding is on the menu for dessert and not to be missed. A wonderful dining experience.
