The Consulate Dining Lounge on Innis Lake

We went here for our second anniversary dinner. The food is excellent and the atmosphere itself is very classy. Small little restaurant so you want to make sure you have a reservation. On the pricier side, but a good place to take your date!

We were there in May for my friends 40th bday. Place is gorgeous. Surroundings are calm and naturally scenic and the lake is great to too. The food, however, is sub par. Our meat was COMPLETELY RAW!!!! No one could eat it. It was more than blue rare. Gross. The pasta was average and overall, would not go back. I have heard on several occasions this same thing: great place, crappy food. Until I ate their myself, I could confirm it. Would not recommend, at least not if you like paying top dollar for sub par food. Sorry.

My wife and I also enjoy attending their specialty dinners, or going there for dinner with friends. The menu offers a good choice of options and the wine list is good. I would recommend this for a nice night out.

We went to The Consulate for dinner for my sisters birthday and we had a lovely evening. Our meal was fantastic. We had escargot and calamari for our appetizers, absolutely delicious!! For our main course we had steak and salmon, again delicious. Our server was very friendly and very quick at getting drinks and other requests. The restaurant is very beautiful and very comfortable. We will definitely be going back.

Visited this restaurant last week with friends. We were all oohing and ahing over the salads, appetizers and main courses. I had their house salad of mixed greens, candied pecans and strawberries - to die for! I had beef tenderloin medallions that were so tender, I could cut them with a fork. There was plenty of the beef too. The vegetables served were so tasty. The service was excellent. A very polite and attentive young man looked after us with great care. This is a quiet restaurant - no loud music or TV to contend with when you wish to converse with your friends. This is A+ for so many reasons. Good location lots of free parking, attentive service, excellent food and reasonable prices! We will be back again!
