Expected a fun place with decent food. Beer was decent. Service was friendly. Food was disappointing. Nachos are like at the movies--tortilla chips with the fake liquid cheese. The jalapenos were the best part. No vegetarian options except limited salad selection. Husband's turkey Rueben was a disappointment on light rye that was only warm instead of toasted as requested. What a neat little spot. We stopped when it had been raining, but the patio dining was dry enough, and the food was extremely good. Wowza good po-boys, accompanied by excellent sides and a wide variety of beers. The guy was friendly and accomodating, the bathrooms were nice and clean, and the ambiance extra fun. We'll be back.
We like this place but like many mom and pop shops it often seems closed for various reasons and during the warm months when the days are much longer, they close far too early. If you want to have a beer in the cool of the evening, you are out of luck. Food is good and beer is cold and sold with a smile.

Great place to grab lunch or dinner and have an ice cold “Yellow Hair” aka Texas Beer Co. Blonde. Debbie and Mike, the owners, are great people and make everyone feel welcome. This place is a must when in beautiful downtown Caldwell, Texas.
