The Caravela has always been a great place to drink and socialise in Foz Do Arelho but the new owners (Breno, Suzie Simon) have taken it to a new level with the... read more The Caravela has always been a great place to drink and socialise in Foz Do Arelho but the new owners (Breno, Suzie Simon) have taken it to a new level with their new food menu (I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PORK, BURGER and FISH AND CHIPS).The regular entertainment has been very good and just bringing their own personalities to the fore with the clients has made it a top place to drink with friends or alone. Keep up the great start guys!

Andre and... read more A favourite venue for my brother and his wife, so the family convened at Caravela to celebrate his milestone birthday in a private area for 12 of us. Andre and staff generously tolerated us and ensured the food was sublime, service was attentive and wine list was extraordinaire. Nothing was too much bother. A reliable place not just for the quality of food , wine and service; but also for the authentic atmosphere. We understand why this is a favourite venue.

You won't mind the wait if you chose something other than the special as everything is freshly cooked and delivered straight to the table the minute it's ready. The hosts are amazingly friendly and speak excellent English. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is relaxed with a great selection of music. We couldn't fault anything.
