On February 25th, 2015 I visited this restaurant in Caldas with my Spanish speaking brother and my non-English speaking girlfriend and her 17-year old daughter. The owner of the restaurant, Alberto Magallón, was born in Spain, went to college in Iowa, and lived in Minnesota and Miami before moving to Caldas so he speaks perfect English. My brother, having visited Spain and being in the restaurant business, ordered appetizers for everyone to try and share: Tortilla Española con Champiñones, Tortilla Española con Pimientos, and Croquetas de Jamón. I liked the tortillas very much but I didn’t care for the croquetas as much as my brother did.My girlfriend’s daughter was a little shy at first because she only ordered an appetizer - Albóndigas. For our entrees Jim ordered the Patatas Bravas con Chorizo Español, my girlfriend and I ordered the Costillas de Cerdo en Salsa BBQ, and later her daughter had the Salmon a la Vizcaina.Everyone enjoyed their food very much and we will return next time my brother visits.
He visitado este restaurante para almorzar en semana y también para cenar y de verdad lo recomiendo, el menú es variado, económico y de muy buena calidad.La atención es muy buena.
Located on the scenic pedestrian mall, Boulevard de Artes, Casa Pamplona has excellent authentic Spanish cuisine. We tried numerous items, all excellent. Tortilla Espanola with peppers, Tortilla Española with mushrooms, Albondigas, Croquetas de jamon, Costillas, Papas Bravas........Owned and operated by Alberto, from Pamplona Spain. Can't wait to return.
