This looks like a reasonable roadside restaurant from the outside, but inside it looks more like a truckstop, with a table football machine in the middle of the room. We booked a table for 4 at 8pm, and no other customers there throughout the evening, so ambience not so hot. I sort of agree with David8 's review, but we found it much better and terrific value, perhaps because we were there for lunch. The mark reflects good food at a very good price, rather than exceptional dining. The place is next to an Esso service station about 22 miles from Agrigento, in a lovely area, particularly as the wildflowers were out when we visited (beginning of May). I imagine that you can stay here, but have no details, but it was a great place for lunch on the way to Agrigento, somewhat reminiscent of the French roadside cafes where all the truckers stopped that seem so much less common these days. Certainly the place was not particularly pretty inside, with the front part the sort of bar/café where you 'd expect to see the locals passing the time of day. There were a few, although I 'm not sure where from as there doesn 't seem to be much habitation in the immediate vicinity. The back is a slightly smarter restaurant, though clearly not upmarket. Service was excellent and quite rapid, despite some difficulties with our limited Italian and their limited English. We had a fairly standard 'set ' 3 course lunch antipasta, main and dessert all well chosen ingredients and/or well cooked; not great but all good. For the price of 48Euros for 4, including .25litre local wine, water and coffee it was exceptional value for money. The atmosphere was fine as the place seemed to fill up (though there didn 't seem to be that many cars parked out front so perhaps there are locals who come here). Highly recommended, especially vs tourist prices/places nearer the Agrigento temples..

Nice view out the back... Also seemed to double up as the local bakery with bread and cakes on sale, so maybe they baked it themselves
