Sleepy in the afternoon right around siesta but truly a worthy spot for a really well prepared meal.
Very good attention, ham, croquettes, gold, carrillera, singlemillo and exquisite desserts. to repeat.
I gave up last week with two friends in the backing I didn't know. Good choice. maximum evaluation of the local, food and treatment. totally recommended. Thank you so much for having us a while eating at your place.
We have a lot of food, the local and the staff. We ordered the cherry gazpacho, the zarangollo salad with chipirones and lamb soap. Everything was so good. a place to come back without a doubt.

Excellent meal here on a Thursday night at this restaurant just down from Merida’s Plaza Espana near the Roman bridge. Waiting staff really kind and helpful despite our lack of Spanish! Really enjoyed the croquettes and tuna with gazpacho and peppers. Husband had pork shoulder with ginger. Two desserts of apple sorbet with cava and fig biscuit with chocolate ice cream and ground almonds finished off the meal. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of local Extremadura Tempranillo plus a couple of rather large glasses of Pedro Ximenes dessert wine and an expresso. All this for €86. A complete bargain!
A classy restaurant in an unassuming street, close to the Roman Bridge. All dishes of very good quality, attractively presented. Service welcoming. We would gladly return.
We lived in Spain for close to 6 months and came here after we had been there a little over 2 months. It was virtually the first meal I had that I was super happy with! I can still remember my happiness because I wasn 't loving traditional Spanish food in your typical restaurants. We ate here May 16th for dinner. It was a Monday and not busy at all for our 8:30pm reservation (not necessary but we liked to be prepared). When we left, it was decently busy but nothing crazy. Service was impeccable. Top notch, especially for Spain. The most expensive bottle on the wine list was something like €18 so we got it as that 's cheaper than basically any bottle of wine at a restaurant in the states. It was very good (I uploaded a picture of it). We wrote it down to see if we could find it again later. Our meals were amazing. The kids weren 't sick of crocettes yet so they gobbled those up pretty effortlessly. I got the Gazpacho de Cerezas del Jerte con Helado de Aceite de Oliva and it was so good. I had gazpacho here and there in Spain again but they were all terrible compared to this one. Between food service, they get a 5/5 every time. Love this place! Side note: I was confused as they have some sort of Michelin sticker outside their door (if I remember correctly). It took some digging but I think in a Michelin guidebook (from 2015, possibly later as well), they had some sort of honorary mention (but are not Michelin star rated themselves). They definitely deserve that mention and perhaps should be considered for a star going forward!
