One of the best restaurant meals I've eaten in my 66 years. Fantastic from start to finish. The gazpacho is the best soup I have ever had by far. The miso cod with shitake, a fish I normally hate, was a marvel. Sadly, I ordered the lamb chops as a safe bet as our meals in other similarly rated spanish restaurants have been poor. The chops were excellent, but my wife shared her cod dinner with me, much to my delight. The deserts were to die for. 6 stars. Don't hesitate to eat here you will love it. Indeed, after reflection, if you don't eat here you are a fool. Just saying.

Chose this place for a birthday dinner due to the many positive reviews and were very happy with our choice. Excellent, well-presented dishes (including many vegetarian options), attentive and professional service, a good wine list and a warm decor. Highly recommended.

An absolutely excellent place to eat. Chef's recommendation 30 per head is a perfect choice. The food is really well made and prepared amd downright delicious. Has an ample menu with acceptable prices. Well worth the visit. The staff are well trained and very pleasant. Quick and efficient service. The restauramt is fantastic. I'd recommend it time and time again. Well worth the michelin stars.

Excellent meal here on a Thursday night at this restaurant just down from Merida’s Plaza Espana near the Roman bridge. Waiting staff really kind and helpful despite our lack of Spanish! Really enjoyed the croquettes and tuna with gazpacho and peppers. Husband had pork shoulder with ginger. Two desserts of apple sorbet with cava and fig biscuit with chocolate ice cream and ground almonds finished off the meal. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of local Extremadura Tempranillo plus a couple of rather large glasses of Pedro Ximenes dessert wine and an expresso. All this for €86. A complete bargain!

A classy restaurant in an unassuming street, close to the Roman Bridge. All dishes of very good quality, attractively presented. Service welcoming. We would gladly return.

We lived in Spain for close to 6 months and came here after we had been there a little over 2 months. It was virtually the first meal I had that I was super happy with! I can still remember my happiness because I wasn 't loving traditional Spanish food in your typical restaurants. We ate here May 16th for dinner. It was a Monday and not busy at all for our 8:30pm reservation (not necessary but we liked to be prepared). When we left, it was decently busy but nothing crazy. Service was impeccable. Top notch, especially for Spain. The most expensive bottle on the wine list was something like €18 so we got it as that 's cheaper than basically any bottle of wine at a restaurant in the states. It was very good (I uploaded a picture of it). We wrote it down to see if we could find it again later. Our meals were amazing. The kids weren 't sick of crocettes yet so they gobbled those up pretty effortlessly. I got the Gazpacho de Cerezas del Jerte con Helado de Aceite de Oliva and it was so good. I had gazpacho here and there in Spain again but they were all terrible compared to this one. Between food service, they get a 5/5 every time. Love this place! Side note: I was confused as they have some sort of Michelin sticker outside their door (if I remember correctly). It took some digging but I think in a Michelin guidebook (from 2015, possibly later as well), they had some sort of honorary mention (but are not Michelin star rated themselves). They definitely deserve that mention and perhaps should be considered for a star going forward!

Wow is the only thing I can say. Everything we had was incredible and the service was very generous. We came at a rare slow day for them which was lucky on our part. Our waiter, Juan Carlos, was very attentive and patient with us and spoke great English. All of our dishes, lamb lasagna, cod and tuna were great and we even decided to go for the cherry gazpacho based on other reviews. It was absolutely fantastic, but the dessert was the real showstopper. Our waiter offered 4 cheesecake and we also decided to go with the pistachio mille feuille which took our breath away. Last but not least, I could not believe the price!!! I never expected our favorite meal in Spain to be in Merida but what do you know!

We are so glad we decided to have dinner here. The cherry gazpacho with olive ice cream was superb and my lamb chops cooked to perfection. Exactly as I had requested. Service was impeccable, and all with a great smile. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the bill was. Next time in Merida we will return.

Lovely friendly service. Don't get put off by the QR code menu they have paper menus too.. Good portions of very well cooked food. Deco was a bit strange but you're eating the food not the walls.
