What Suzanne Mitchell doesn't like about Le Petillant:
Two starters: fish soup with cheese and croutons to garnish. Ok but croutons were very oily. Pate with pickles and lettuce, lettuce was brown around the edges and going rotten. Two mains: mussels, one mariniere which was ok, other with Provençal sauce which was not good at all. I found a 1 inch long metal HOOK in my mussels! Then I found a mussel shell packed full of grit! Found this one by accident on the second night of our trip,,wow what a lovely restaurant, the atmosphere was lovely and lively, staff were friendly and food was great, portions were amazing size, you could happily share one dish amongst two adults, everything was cooked fresh, they catered for kids even fussy ones, drinks were reasonable too.
