We spoke little Spanish and the waitress spoke litt... read more We were recommended to go here by our hotel, 5 minutes away (Meridien Ra). Glad we went, food was delicious! We spoke little Spanish and the waitress spoke little English but we got by just fine and she was super kind and helpful. We had mussels, clams, lobster, patatas bravas, shrimp. All super fresh, fun, and tasty!! Definitely go here!

We re... read more We ended up eating here 3 times over a weekend we loved it so much. Such delicious fresh fish we had hake on 2 occasions, and also had a paella one night. We received excellent service and found eating out on the decking such a lovely spot (for the evening). Worth wandering down and agreeing which table you would like before hand as its a busy and popular place ! Portions are really large too. Goats cheese salad for lunch was also a winner.

We had the seafood platter for 2, patatas bravas and sardines which was shared by 2 adults and 2 children. Food was fantastic! There was just the right amount for the 4 of us and loads of different things to try. It was Friday night so I guess busier than usual so they said they only had tables inside not on the terrace, however inside felt a bit isolated and out the way. We saw they had spare tables round the corner outside so asked if we could be moved and they said that was no problem! The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back if we visit Calafell again!

We were asked to wait in queue by another waite... read more We did not dine in as we received terrible service from a male waiter literally telling us off no table for you. We were asked to wait in queue by another waiter and an old male waiter literally bypass us and went to the couple behind us and got them a table. Waited for a further 20 minutes and was being ignored with an ignorant face and rude tone then at the end told us of no reservation no table. Well the rest of those in queue did not make any reservation either.

One of my friends recommended me to visit Calafell last year and showed me a few restaurants to go to and she mentioned L’ancora, it was so delicious the seafood was to die for! xx
