Located next to the Columbus monument at the southern end of La Rambla, the Cava Universal serves great food and drinks and for a much better value and less noise than the restaurants up the road. The staff is super nice, service is fast and always friendly. Burgers are very tasty (see picture, only €12), and pasta, salad and so on as well. And the best: Family ownend in the sixth generation (opened around 1858).

This place is immaculate clean and toilets were a credit to this establishment. Definitely we would return the bill was around 30 Euro for 6 small beers and 3 lots of snack tapas.
