Tucked away within the Calabogie Lodge Resort is this charming restaurant. Be prepared for a wait for your food, but once it arrives, you can see that it is made with care. I have never had a bad meal here, and the fish and chips night is particularly fantastic. What Idell Wiza doesn't like about The Valley Food & Drink Co:
We stayed at the lodge and the owner told us we could dine at the restaurant. When we arrived, they didn't have enough space for our family so we were seated in the lobby. The food was average overall, but my lamb burger was terrible. The salads were the highlight. Unfortunately, being seated in the lobby next to the bar meant we had to endure the noise from a rowdy group of patrons. The band in the restaurant was gr... View all feedback.

The staff are kind and accommodating to little ones. I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for one small issue - there is a large spider web (with a spider) near the sliding patio doors that has been there for the last three visits. It is a rural setting, so regular dusting and spider control would greatly improve the dining experience.
Just had dinner and wait 2 hours for food.Asked the owner why and he had not reason and did not offer anything to make it right. This was 2 hours for fish and chips on fish and chip night. Do not go here if you want prompt service. Also the garlic toast tasted like fish, good thing the fish taste like fish.
If there's a wrong choice here we didn't make it. Everything we ordered (and we ate here twice) was excellent. Loved the white summer sangria as well. Great wait staff. Wish we had tried breakfast. I'm sure it would be excellent too.
Our only complaint is that it wasn't open every day when we were there. There's a patio with a beautiful view of the lake for warm weather dining. Inside, it's rustic and comfortable with lots of knotty pine. The menu is small but varied. My husband ate butter chicken with basmati rice and warm naan. Delish! He also drank a "hoppy" White Water Midnight IPA -- a bit bitter for me. I had pan seared rainbow trout with nicely done fresh veggies and lemon dill sauce. No problem when I asked for all veggies and no rice. We split a dessert of home made carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yum! Definitely worth breaking the rules for! Service was homey, friendly, and excellent -- as were the food and value.
Great spot good food and drink will definitely return great staff and parking and super views. Can't wait to go back.
