What Laura L doesn't like about No1china:
Since I don’t live in town I really must check my order before leaving any restaurant in Cairo. I didn’t check tonight because I haven’t had a problem at this restaurant before. Besides, how badly can you mess up Chicken with bok choy? Well, don’t add any bok choy!! Guess I’m having chicken with onions and a couple of mushrooms. Thankfully I have some sriracha sauce! The second item I ordered? Steamed dumplings. They... View all feedback.
With such a large family, this place hits all the marks...affordable, tasty, great customer service! The cashier always makes us smile and is so very sweet!
NOT A QUALITY PRODUCT! My husband wanted some Chinese food and since this was really the only option in Cairo, he decided to give it a try. I chose chicken lo mein, light on the oil while my husband chose the Szechuan chicken and a double order of spring rolls. When he returned with the food, I could tell just by a first glance that it was very basic and not a quality product. I tasted the noodles and they were so greasy that I could only manage a couple of bites before I quit. The spring rolls were so soaked in OLD oil that I had to immediately release the bite into the toilet. They were greasy and mushy without the texture that vegetable rolls should have. Unfortunately, this will go down as our worst meal this trip! This is the type of food you get when businesses cut corners and are more focused on prices than quality. They need to use better quality fresh oil, I suggest grapeseed), and add fresh hand chopped vegetables to their spring rolls. Vegetables should have texture and not taste like baby food. Spring rolls must be cooked at the proper temperature and drained prior to being packaged or served. This food was so bad that it just had to be discarded. If I choose to have Chinese food tomorrow, I will definitely be driving to Tallahassee!
They serve decent carry out food but it is REALLY irritating that they take their phone off the hook on Friday and Saturday nights so you can't call your order in advance. That causes a LONG wait at the restaurant which is just unnecessary if someone would just answer the phone and take orders.
Tried to call in a order and the guy wouldn 't listen to me!!! Kept changing my order and laughing like it was funny!!! Terrible customer service Don 't Go Here !!!
The food is incredibly fresh and delicious! Their egg drop soup is my favorite among all the restaurants in the area. The service is quick, too!
