What Connie Poppell doesn't like about Mr. Chick:
$65 for lunch for 3 people, charged for things I was told I would not be when I ordered. Then when I said something about it, not only was that employee rude and argued, they sent out the manager, who was much worse. No apology for the lies, very nasty attitude, and only offer was to take the food away. He agreed they have no competition and can treat people however they want, and are packed with customers always. His words. Jerk. I hadn't been there in a couple of years, but was basically let know that they don't need our business, nor care if they have it. Plus dirty tables must be cleaned by customers if you want to sit at a clean table. Not only did I have to clean ours, I never saw any employees cleaning tables, wiping down between parties.

Four pieces of fried chicken was good. Fries were typical restaurantries. Slightly salted, but not really what you would call spicy. My wife said her burger was really good. It was too big for them to finish it. The place was clean and there was very little waiting time when we ordered until we got our food. Service was friendly enough. Prices can be a bit high for what should have been a quick lunch.
It's been years since I last had Mr. Chick. Tonight bought a chicken stripe dinner. Everything was amazing as usual, only the chicken strips were so little. Absolutely not crazy, just sad. Still the best of Grady County.

Mr. Chick is a staple in Cairo, Georgia. Anytime I slide through there I tell you that was the best fried chicken and okra I’ve had since the last time I was in Cairo .. Always extra friendly service!!!
