Nestled along the picturesque boardwalk, this Cairns eatery offers a remarkable dining experience marked by outstanding service and an innovative menu featuring Australian native ingredients. Diners rave about succulent dishes like beef cheeks, kangaroo, and lightly cooked fresh fish, alongside delightful appetizers such as crocodile and pork belly. The expertly crafted cocktails, particularly the standout old fashioned, complement the meal perfectly. Despite minor inconsistencies in flavor and preparation, the passionate staff, led by enthusiastic servers, ensure a memorable visit. With stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant undoubtedly deserves a spot on every foodie’s list.

We had such a great night when we first came back in the next night. the location was great, right at the boardwalk. the eating was delicious we tried the Australian antipasto, the salt and native pepperleaf crocodile, the morganbury bark stripes lunge, and the lamb rump with cockerbsen tabbouleh and they were all delicious. but what returned to us was the amazing list of cocktails and locally fed ghosts. the standout drink was the old fashioned with local mt uncle whisky and tormented orange, which was threaded for 3 months. it was excellent. I highly recommend ochre and would love the opportunity to return to dinner after cairns.

3.9 stars for the male server that was absolutely amazing and 0.1 star for the scallops and boar bell. Australian plate boring, mild aromene, no food gasmus here. Scallops and pork belly scallops were tiny sauce, was big, pork belly was like fat heaven. mackerel sugar cane keeps the older average cousin of sugar cane prawns. again, no fireworks in my mouth, only boring old aromen. sugar cane was tasteless, which is a shame, because they should still have a tone of a sweet one for them, no matter how they cook it. salt n pfefferminz good taste, but excessively salty. Tempura bugs mushy, seemed frozen or precooked salt n pfeffer krokodil n garnelen krokodil overcooked before fried. Tempura bugs mushy, makes it too hard and chew. prawns was ok. taste was acceptable. we did not end our food at the end because, as disappointed we were, given the great google reviews. our waiter noticed this and asked us if everything was in order; I said, “Yes, we’re just too full,” I didn’t want to disappoint him because he seemed so passionate about his job. all in all, please visit if they are alot extra money lying around.

After visiting the daintree, I was eager to taste some food from the country, including green ants. so beautiful on the leaves of plants in the daintree the.

Had a wonderful three course dinner on Friday night. It was the best. Couldn’t fault anything. The oysters -yum. The pork fillet was cooked to perfection. The pavlova was divine. Thanks for a great meal.

We had a great experience here for a very busy night, but well treated. did not get the names of our waiter, but he was great! and a big Abba fan, tattoo even committed. eating was good and the variety great, many options to fit all. great location and would highly recommend, especially if they are served by abba man
