My Partner and I were walking around trying to decide what to get for lunch and we saw this restaurant pretty busy for 2:30 in the afternoon. Great meal choices and service from the staff. View all feedback.
What Isobel Griffiths doesn't like about North Bar and Kitchen:
The menu looks great, the location is beautiful as it was attached to our hotel (the shangri-la) so convenient too but it fell short in a number of ways. Service was slow and haphazard. Left waiting to be seated. Never approached for a drinks order and when I did order (with food) the rosé was luke warm.I felt they were trying hard to be fine dining but missed the mark by a fair way. The sauce served with the entree... View all feedback.
Let's be real: what is better than fishing on the water and catching a 3 foot Giant (Golden) Threadfin salmon? Having it professionally prepared in three different ways and served to you with a melange of vegetables. What a wonderful treat!Enjoy the food, the scenery and the service. All top notch.
We are locals and recently enjoyed a night in town and chose to eat at this restaurant. We really enjoyed our meals, beautifully presented, stunning veiw and the staff were efficient, attentive and friendly.
Had a great lunch at this place. The restaurant has a $19.50 lunch menu which includes a main and a wine (or beer/soft drink) and all of our meals were a good size and fantastic value for money. The scallops were well cooked, the chicken salad full of flavour and the watermelon salad yummy. We ordered 2 sides as an extra for the 3 of us and it was more than enough for a filling lunch. Friendly waiting staff.Awesome location - easy cheap parking nearby and great views across the marina.
The sauce served with the entree prawns was oily and the eggplant and carrot main was definitely too small, particularly when there was no protein present. Overall my sister and myself were unimpressed and didn't stay for dessert.
