Chile Rojo - Cahuita

Great place! I had a wonderful Thai curry and the owner knew a lot about gluten and could tell me exactly what I could and could not eat. They even have GF soy sauce for sushi (what I did not try).

I highly recommend visiting Chile Rojo. This restaurant offers a variety of gluten-free choices, such as gluten-free spring rolls made with rice paper, rice noodles, and gluten-free curries. The owner is knowledgeable about celiac disease and also offers many lactose-free options in addition to gluten-free dishes. You are sure to have a fantastic meal! I personally tried the green curry and it was outstanding.

There are no indications on the menu for gluten-free options. The staff did not seem knowledgeable and simply guessed which dishes were gluten-free. They were unable to explain about cross-contamination either.

This restaurant is fantastic! I enjoyed a delicious Thai curry and the owner was very knowledgeable about gluten, explaining which dishes were safe for me to eat. I also learned that they offer gluten-free soy sauce for their sushi, although I didn't have the chance to try it.
