The atmosphere was amazing! The Mojitos were awesome. Loved the tortilla soup. BUT… the fish was way overcooked. We had both fried and grilled fish. The grilled fish needed a knife to cut it was so over done. The fried coconut fish was fried so long it was dry and mealy. Delicious and affordable grilled fish. Wine was $4 for a little bottle (which I love because you know it’s fresh). The salad was life changing good but not on the menu. It was so good we went back again a few days later for the same meal.
I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for 4 years, at-least 2 3 times a week. The food can be hit and miss as the restaurant rotates through sometimes inexperienced cooks but they rarely screw up the Buenos Dias Bagel. Israel who has been the front man of the restaurant for 18+ years I believe now is always kind, helpful and quick to please our every need. Overall 8/10 for La Ventana standards.
Huevos rancheros on crispy corn tortillas. Beautifully presented and so yummy. Excellent outdoor atmosphere with a killer view of La Ventana's bay.
