We had the menu which was delicious and included mise bouche and other tasty morsels. The meal was beautifully presented and very good, except for the pork main course; the belly pork was really delicious but the other two pieces were a little undercooked for my taste, and so the main course was a bit disappointing. What Josiane W doesn't like about Le Marché:
I have eaten in this restaurant several times and although the food is undeniably good the atmosphere is cool and the prices rather hot. My last encounter was not a happy one, when arriving 15 minutws before opening time we were not allowed to sit at a table to wait as cleaning was still in progress. They may have improved customer service and welcome since. View all feedback.
This restaurant was recommended by friends who discovered it hidden behind the square next to the old market covered on a busy market day. They said it was great. We were 7 trying it for lunch during a visit and found it also excellent. the staff was very convenient because each of us had different tastes. He even prepared a delicious vegetarian meal without chichi. the atmosphere inside was quiet and quiet, a good backdrop against the outside noise. my only reproach would be the long seats in the main room - from a design point of view, pretty, but terribly uncomfortable to sit for a long quiet lunch.
Small but beautiful place and delicious creative dishes. I got the smoked trout, then the beautiful ted vivan. The service was diligent. hot dishes. Try the red lamartine castle out. good price good quality.
A particularly refined fixed price menu. two of my dinner companions took the fish and praised them. I got the mussels and they were delicious. indoor dining rooms are chic with illuminated walls and warm wood finishes.
Beautiful location on the square near the cathedral, good service, pleasant but without particularity. glass wine at 4.70 € is much too expensive for a not too generous glass. cahor is a well-known wine region, they should have something more reasonable on the menu.
I've been in front of this restaurant for a few years and I don't really know why. For me, I've always suffered from having perhaps too greedy before I started to visit him.... great I mean a huge mistake on my part. You see, I've now found his unique selling argument for me. It's food is different. Let me explain. I just got a main dish that breaks all my rules. I'm not a fan of fruit in a hot dish. I know, a character defect really. I also have a strange aversion for random pasta appearing out of the appropriate context. So, when calf on a bed of macaroni in the grapefruit comes in front of me, it should make my spicy senses pick. Anyway, it works. all the elements are connected. The flavours are all harmonized. How could I be wrong? So what did I learn? The chief here knows his case, trust him and follow the current. . .
