Restaurante Altalaluna - Cafayate

The Altaluna restaurant is top even on international standard and the best in the Cafayate aeria. The ambiance, the quality of the dishes and the wines of the own cave are on top level.

We have visited twice during our stay and will return. Just 15 minutes' drive from Cafayate. The menu is quite extensive and has a number of very original, tasteful and well-made dishes, from stews of goats, beef or chicken... to excellent pastas, pumpkin soup as well as simple grilled beef. Puddings are very good. The hotel and restaurant are attached to the Tukma Winery, which has excellent wines; we have above all the high height Sauvignon Blanc, which is both unusual and delicious. The staff is very charming and efficient. There are tables on a covered veranda, an open terrace or dotted around the large garden, depending on the taste or weather.

I came for the hotel and stayed for the restaurant. We eat and eat here for two days in a row. Altaluna could be the best restaurant in the region of Cafayate. Elegant, refined, but without contact with the local culinary roots to lose. The empanadas are...for dying. I recommend the “Cabrito” and the “revuelto gramajo”. The tukma wines are the perfect addition to a meal.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch in this beautiful old hotel and restaurant. The prices were reasonable and the food was excellent.

The restaurant Altaluna is also on an international standard and the best in the Cafayate-Aeria. The ambience, the quality of the dishes and the wines of your own cave are at the highest level.
