I advise against believing the owner's message. As of today, July 5, 2023, they have shown no effort to accommodate gluten-free options. They should be removed from the app.

This restaurant no longer offers any gluten-free options. Their fryer is shared, and the counters are not cleaned to prevent cross-contamination. If you have celiac disease, I strongly advise you not to trust this place.
Been today was told they NO longer do gluten free
As the owner of J&C Chippy, I have always made it a priority to accommodate dietary needs. I prepare all products separately, and starting from April 6, 2016, I will also be offering gluten-free fish and chips.
