Visiting Venta Frenazo in 2016 is probably similar to visiting the same place 20 years ago , the food ,the people using the place are local , expecting good service simple Spanish food , food cooked on the premises by the family . Quality and friendly that's the people and the food don't drive passed this use your brakes and call in . View all feedback.
Went for Sunday lunch and had lovely meal and excellent service. Would definitely visit again. Waiter spoke some English which did help us to enjoy the experience but the staff were all very nice.
Frenar means to brake and El Frenazo means something like the action of slamming on the brakes . I always stop there for chicharrones (spicey, deep-fried pieces of pork belly) when I am passing, because they are delicious, always available, rarely seen in other ventas or restaurants, and I get a very friendly welcome from the owners. Before the motorway was built, when going south on the old road, you would suddenly see the place round a bend at the bottom of a hill, but now you have to turn off the motorway to get there. So for me the place has risen from worth stopping for to worth a detour .
Came across this Venta on our way to Sevilla. We were not sure what to think of it when we first pulled up but were convinced to give it a try when we saw how busy it was. It offers fresh and traditional Spanish food, so if that is something you like it will be much enjoyed here. I agree that it is not the cheapest Venta but it all depends on what you choose, at the end of the day good quality fresh food rarely is cheap.
Good quality in dishes of the menu and in your menu of the day, well served by waiters, good price, we will go again very soon.
Always guaranteed excellent Andalusian Country food service food with fantastic family service with a smile. Once been you will always want to go again.
