Franchement , le meilleur ris cantonais que J ai mangé . Notre petit rituel a emporté .Nems , brochette de poulet citron , samoussa piquant et vermicelle de poulet tout est excellent.Service rapide et efficace. View all feedback.
What Jaime Willms doesn't like about China Express:
Salle d'une propreté discutable étant donnée que les 3/4 des tables n'étaient pas débarassées. Chaise collante. Poulet au citron ou plutôt goût Paic citron. Légumes du Shop Suey visiblement décongelés, sans saveur.Allez je mettrais quand même 1 point positif pour l'accueil: rapide mais aimable View all feedback.
This China fast food style restaurant has been there for so long that I lost count for the years they've been existing. In the past, when Plan de Campagne didn't have much food choice, we always ate here whilst visiting this area. Since they built another wing in the Avant cap shopping mall and filled up with eateries, we didn't come here for ages. Today we came again for a bit of Asian food. In retrospect, the food here was really nothing extraordinary. This time, the roast duck noodle I ordered was super salty ( probably cooked with excess msg), the duck meat was good though, not too fat and sliced thinly. Then hubby's rice was a plate mixed with old and newly cooked one. As for his prawn in chilly sauce, the prawn were so obviously frozen and chewy like gum. The place was old and need re-decoration badly. Guess we would go inside a proper Chinese restaurant next time.
This is more of a canteen style place rather than a conventional restaurant; in that all the dishes are pre-cooked and on display out front. You choose what you want and they scoop a bit off the big dish and bung it in an industrial microwave , blast it for a couple of minutes and you take it to the counter on a tray, pay, and then go and sit down. That might not be for everyone, food sitting around and microwaves etc. However what it does mean is that the opening hours of this place are phenomenal, something like 11-11, which was very welcome news, given some of the problems we had with odd opening hours in other parts of France and Spain, and also the fact that we turned up here during the mid-afternoon lull, when many other places would have almost certainly been closed. The thing is though the food was really good, I had the caramel pork and it was excellent.Plus I went for one of their 10Euro meal deals, and so it meant that the prices were incredibly good value for what you get.The location is perfect if you’ve been visiting either the adjoining retail park or SpeedWater (a waterpark, also reviewed here), and even if you weren’t in a car you can easily walk between the two.Plus it’s right by the Motorway coming out of Marseille so easy to get to and to find. Perfect at the end of a long day as you’re returning to the city. I don’t think they speak much English, but in a place like this, you can get away with pointing and gesticulating, plus the ordering process is reassuringly easy. Also if you’re with a large group, or some sort of sports club etc, it’s worth considering as there is plenty of space.
Re heated food , when I got my food after it being “heated” it was cold in the middle ... weird taste off the curry sauce , also chicken tasted gone off , we thought it was a restaurant from the outside but too our...surprise it was just a quick pick what u want heat it up and go , rly didn’t like this food as it was gloopy and not to my taste
