The grilled fish was obviously frozen and not cooked thru. The battered fish was coated in a dark brown something, certainly not like the lovely crisp batter at another establishment in the nearby suburb of Mona Vale. My very favourite things are potato scallops, unfortunately these were coated in something other than batter and really not at all edible.

Ocean Master has been my absolute favourite fish and chips place to go since i was a child, there used to be one in Willoughby where I lived, unfortunately afte... read more Ocean Master has been my absolute favourite fish and chips place to go since i was a child, there used to be one in Willoughby where I lived, unfortunately after some years it disappeared, I think this was due to poor visibility of the store. Regardless, this place had THE BEST batter taste wise, it is no crispy like the typical fish batter, but a different half crisp half moist sort of texture that makes a perfect marriage with the fish. I seriously hope these guys stay i business and open up more stores around more sydney areas, on the North Shore for example would be great. My favourite meal is the fish cocktail pack, yummy!
