What Rachel S doesn't like about The Nag's Head Hotel:
The pub is average, nothing extraordinary, but it's a nice spot for a casual meal and drinks. We stopped by before going to the Roxbury for some improv comedy. Total cost was $10. View all feedback.
Beautiful cold beer on tap. great old pub with heaps of character and the blokes behind the bar were lovely. thank you.
The food is nice but waited very long for the food to be served. We ordered the mixed grill and it's cooked well. Nice to try though.

The Nag's Head Hotel really stands out as a dining option for a few reasons. It is fairly quiet. There is a good menu choice (except only one vegetarian dish) - seafood, steaks, fancy British style pies, pork belly... The vegetable serves are imaginative and plentiful. Many restaurants only give you a handful of microwaved vegetables. The service is professional and friendly. The garlic bread wasn't greasy. Food service within a reasonably quick time, by my impatient standards. Pricing is good. Every night of the week there is a $10 special. It might be schnitzel or a roast or something else. The dining area isn't that beautiful but that doesn't matter. We went to the restaurant with a voucher the first time but liked it so much we would happily pay full price.I've not drunk at the pub part but it seems fairly relaxed and civilized.
The Bistro is out the back of this pub, its called The Stables and has previously been an outdoor area so its quite quirky. We liked the menu and the grilled seafood platter was great. Refreshing to be able to order something with chips! The wooden benches weren't that comfortable to sit on but overall we liked it and would go back.
