Pancho’s - Cabo San Lucas

Visited with my family. Great food, friendly atmosphere. Good chips and fajitas. Wait staff were helpful and fun. Would return anytime.

We’ve eaten at Panchos in the past and found the flavors to be rich and saucy, not so this time. The meals were so, so and the waiter was not engaging. I had a couple of shots of tequila which seemed to be largely overpriced, my friends had margarita s and asked for no salt, came with salt, easy enough to wipe most off as waiter was not overly interested in accommodating. Few people in the restaurant, although it was early, just wasn’t the same ole fun dining.

Came for a tequila tasting. Jose lead the tasting. I observed while my fiancé tasted. I’m a gin drinker not really into tequila. Wow, what an experience! Jose was so knowledgeable as he described each tequila and one mezcal being served. He brought out additional things to enhance the flavors of the alcohol including ice cream and orange slices with cinnamon. My fiancé, who is in alcohol sales ended the tasting by sharing a shot with Jose from a tequila that is in his portfolio (Avion 44). He was also presented with a certificate at the end of the tasting showing that he’s now a “Tequila Connoisseur.” Once, I told Jose I was a gun drinker, he offered me a shot of gin. Then, recommended a drink for me. I was not left out which is what made this experience even sweeter. I appreciated Jose including me. We came just for the tasting. No food but we will be back to try the food next.

My friends and I had fun tequila tasting here, great ambience, colorful, fun mariachi band. We learned about tequila, process of making, different types, how to drink and paired with other flavors. Dinner also good! They had drivers outside easily available to drive us back to lodging

We had an excellent time at Panchos tonight. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. They finally made us a table for four outside. The table side guacamole and salsa was amazing!!! Jose our waiter personally made the guacamole himself and explained each and every single ingredient he was using. Jose was very personable and would come back to our table every few minutes to check on us. I had the filet mignon and it was delicious!! My kids and wife had the fajitas and they gave us fresh hand made tortillas!! There was even a band that came to our table and sang “La cucaracha” and La Bamba while we had dinner. One of the best experiences we had in Cabo. And a big thank you to Jose!!
