This is hands down our favorite sushi spot in San Jose. We first discovered them about a week after they opened 6 years ago and we've been loyal customers ever since. The owner gave us a sampling of the sashimi wahoo with their serranito sauce. It was incredibly delicious. So every visit we start with either tuna, wahoo or yellowtail sashimi serranito. What User doesn't like about Koi Sushi:
The sushi is above average for the area. There are some unique rolls you might not have seen anywhere else. But beware, they will try to charge you 16% IVA on top of the menu prices. This is completely illegal in Mexico. Prices as presented on the menu MUST contain the 16% IVA, by law. But if unknowing tourists will pay, just a few extra $ in the owners pocket. Refuse to pay and they won't push the point. View all feedback.
Great service, unbelievable steak, cocktails, wine and dessert that kept our entire group of adults and children happy. The staff provided big fans to keep us cool in the open air restaurant, which is beautifully decorated with lanterns, plants, and of course the massive open parrilla. All the wait staff were extremely attentive and were happy to speak both English and Spanish to our international table. Live music topped off the whole atmosphere and kept us well entertained for the entire night. Overall not a single complaint. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Los Cabos.
After a long day of sightseeing this dinner was a real treat. I had walked by the restaurant several times and the smell of BBQ was to die for. I ordered the beef rib. This is not a small portion but a huge melt in your mouth roasted beef with amazing flavor. Highly satisfied with the service and food quality. Pricy but worth it!!

Decidí visitar este lugar porque había escuchado buenos comentarios, el lugar muy agradable, estaba casi vacío por lo que pensábamos que el servicio sería mejor, error... el mesero no sabía ni lo que le pedíamos... es más creo que no sabía ni lo que vendían ahí... nuestra comida llego y era deliciosa... pedimos más... y se tardó más que el primer plato... resulta que el mesero no dio la comanda.. decidieron darnos una cortesía para quitarnos el mal sabor de boca, ya nos habían recuperado hasta que pedimos la cuenta... nos estaban cobrando de más.... lo checaron y "arreglaron" los precios.... pero seguía siendo mucho... dijeron que era elIva que no venía incluido... pues ya para no pelear pagamos... lástima que sea un lugar con comida excelente pero que esos detalles te den ganas de no volver.....
El diego roll, el volaris roll, el pitufo, el sashimi curricane, etc,.... TODO delicioso y mi lugar preferido para sushi
