Garmisch Usa - Cable
Garmisch Usa
Description
Perched on Namakagan Lake, this historic lodge blends rustic Alpine charm with eclectic cabin lodging and a veranda offering stunning water views. The menu is above-average for the region, cocktails and bar service earn special praise, and signature desserts like bread pudding delight. Many return for family tradition and cozy fireplaces, though prices skew toward special occasions. Visitors should note variable service, occasional cold or delayed plates, and missing amenities (marina/bait shop, inconsistent cabin towels). Overall, a memorable lakeside destination worth a visit.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic and it’s a truly unique spot. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, though slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for a special evening. I was thoroughly impressed with everything and will certainly be visiting again soon.
Excellent location! The veranda offers a stunning view of Namakagan Lake. Be sure to check out the old lodge—it’s worth a visit. The food is definitely above average by North Woods standards. The bar has a charming old-world feel, complemented by modern updates.
My family has been visiting this resort for years, and the unique style and stunning lakeside setting consistently draw us back. The main lodge features a charming rustic Alpine design, while the cabins available for rent showcase a variety of eclectic styles, ranging from German to fantasy castle themes to traditional log cabins. One suggestion I would make is to bring your own towels if you're staying in the cabins, as they are not always provided.
Loved the old lodge atmosphere! Enjoyed great service in the dining room and highly recommend the bread pudding. Our room was cozy with a cute fireplace, I think a room on the second floor would be more private. We hope to return in the summer to enjoyboating on the lake when the water is soft
Go directly there do not pass go do not collect $200 get to this historic location for a view of the lake that is impeccable. We had lunch there the bartender Greg was perfect if not better than anyone ever. A patty melt a smoked brisket and the garmishdeluxe was our selection and we couldn't have picked three better entrees.
