The food was excellent, though slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for a special evening. I was thoroughly impressed with everything and will certainly be visiting again soon.

The veranda offers a stunning view of Namakagan Lake. Be sure to check out the old lodge—it’s worth a visit. The food is definitely above average by North Woods standards. The bar has a charming old-world feel, complemented by modern updates.

The main lodge features a charming rustic Alpine design, while the cabins available for rent showcase a variety of eclectic styles, ranging from German to fantasy castle themes to traditional log cabins. One suggestion I would make is to bring your own towels if you're staying in the cabins, as they are not always provided.

The main lodge is done in a rustic Alpine style, and other cabins you may be able to rent have eclectic styles, from German tofantasy castle to classic log cabin. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own towels if staying in the cabins -they aren't always supplied.

We were seated quickly without reserva... read more Stopped by on 9-30-22 for a fish fry on a family vacation to the area. With such great reviews, we had high expectations. We were seated quickly without reservations and despite there being quite a crowd. That all seemed good. It was a while before awaitress came by the table to take our order. While taking our order, she excused herself to deliver someone elses order. Whenshe did come back, we ordered the fish special. We waited nearly a half hour for the order. When it arrived the fish andpotato skins were cold. The potato skins were also burned so they must have been sitting for a while. Had a beer and a brandyold fashioned at our table that were excellent! The service and food left a lot to be desired this night. Wait staff is anissue everywhere these days but the crowd should be no surprise to an establishment with such a great reputation. Disappointingservice and food for us.
