When we requested room service, it felt as though we we... read more The hotel was very clean and featured nice rooms; however, the customer service left much to be desired. When we requested room service, it felt as though we were intruding, as we were told we had to pick up our orders ourselves. It seemed that the staff at The Oakes were both understaffed and untrained, which is disappointing given the hotel's potential. The pool could have been a great asset if they had installed more lighting to meet local regulations, allowing them to stay open after 6:00 PM. Overall, it was a rather average hotel experience.

It felt as though we were intruding when we requested room service, as we were told we needed to come and pick it up ourselves. The food was quite underwhelming and seemed poorly executed, which is a shame because there is so much potential. The pool could have been an enjoyable feature, but it needed more lighting to comply with local regulations, which would have allowed it to stay open after 6:00 PM. Overall, it was just an average hotel experience.
