Fresh Pie - Byron
Fresh Pie
Description
A neighborhood, mom-and-pop pizzeria earning praise for fresh ingredients, generous toppings, standout calzones and cheesy bread. Crusts range from thin-and-crispy to thick and chewy, and salads arrive fresh; wings are large and juicy though sometimes greasy. Service is friendly and value is strong, but expect a small dining room, slow or inconsistent pickup, occasional undercooked sides and unreliable phone/hours. Ideal for pizza lovers seeking quality, affordable pies if you can tolerate occasional operational hiccups.

Highly recommend: Just passing through and staying at a hotel. Decided to grab some pizza for dinner. We got two large pizzas, bread sticks, 3 garlic sauce cups, tomato sauce cup and delivery all for just $33. It was some of the best pizza I've ever ordered. We got the white pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids. And we got the regular bread sticks. I would definitely go for this place over dominos or papa johns. Only took about 30 minutes to get the food and it was hot and delicious. After a very long drive from Indiana we were thrilled to get a hot and delicious pizza!
This is great pizza with quality ingredients at a fair price. If u like mom and pop style pizza that's hand tossed with thick chewy crust then this is the place to go. At first i was skeptical as so many people in the area leave great reviews for other pizza establishments and i go there and its no where near as good as quality as they are raving about. But this pizza place surpassed my expectations in every way.
Decent little hole in the wall pizzeria. We ordered a pretty big order. For a start our Calzones were FANTASTIC 10/10 ! The pizza looked and tasted great but the middle center of the pizza around 50% of the pizza was extremely thin and would fall apart when you picked it up. The wings were pretty good, they are baked and I have to admit they are very large wings compared to other restaurants that offer them as well as super juicy. We ordered mild and lemon pepper. To be honest we couldn't tell them apart almost. The lemon pepper is not strong nor does it have a lot of seasoning. The mild almost tastes as if it has no sauce on them. Only other downside is once they cook and are plated the wings sit in a pool of their own grease (the foil they cook in gets put right into the styrofoam plate) and they end up being really greasy. We only live 5 mins away and our wings were soggy with grease by the time we got home to eat. The breadsticks were undercooked and gummy... Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place to eat... but for 2 LG calzones, 1 LG pizza, 40 wings, breadsticks and cheesy bread at $110 spent we should have had near perfect food especially at that price range...
Pizza is great breadsticks are amazing. the new creamy garlic dipping sauce is disgusting, go back to the regular garlic butter please.
