Monte's Steak Seafood - Byram

We had an amazing experience at Monte's Steak & Seafood! The service was exceptional.

I've dined at Monte's twice in the past month, and both experiences were enjoyable thanks to the delicious meals and attentive staff. As someone who frequently orders salads with a variety of lettuces and vegetables, I suggest replacing the basic iceberg lettuce with spring mix, garnished with cherry tomatoes and shredded carrots. A small adjustment like this could make a big difference. Thank you for your dedication to providing a pleasant dining experience!

I went to this restaurant for a date and had a disappointing experience. It took nearly 30 minutes to receive our salads, and what arrived was a small po' boy bun. After almost two hours of waiting, we finally got our steaks, but they were cold. The vegetables were also undercooked. The restaurant was dimly lit, and what I could see looked unclean. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Excellent service along with excellent food. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was delicious. They also have a great selection of adult beverages to choose from! I'd highly recommended stopping in if you're looking for a first class meal.

Never again. We like to support local businesses decided to try Monte's on the Reservoir. The wait time wasn't bad. We were seated in a dark dirty booth. We both ordered steaks. It finally arrived we knew had chosen poorly. The thin Bourbon Streetsteak was floating in some kind of sauce. Baked potato was half cooked still not approaching good. My wife had the filet. Ohno. This had to be the worst filet I have ever seen. Full of fat gristle, also covered in some unknown sauce. We could hardlycut it with the butter knife we were provided. We know steak. This was bad. She asked the waitress if this was even filet sheaggressively explained that it was. My wife did not eat a bite. It was that bad. We asked that it be removed from our bill. Atthis point the waitress goes into kitchen and screams at the chef. The whole place heard this. Extremely unprofessional. Shethen insisted we get a replacement steak. We insisted she not charge us for the inedible steak. I had eaten half of mine so Idid pay for it. At $50 a person, I wish we had gone to Tico's.
