Description

Located a few miles off I‑5, this clean, welcoming Mexican spot serves fresh, generous portions with a seafood focus—ceviche and shrimp tacos shine, and the chile relleno is a standout. Breakfast classics and a salsa bar round out the menu; service is friendly and prompt despite slightly dated décor. Caveats include inconsistent menu pricing, occasional dry meats, and a takeout packaging issue that led to leaking ceviche. Overall, a tasty, convenient stop for families and travelers.

Good on a Sunday was there Menudo! Simple yet fulfilling. Eat the super hot tortillas before they become hard. I felt the ingredients ie the pork could have cooked all day. You walk up order from the front desk. Clean yet simple

I stopped in El Sobroso on my way to Carizzo Plain to see the wildflower bloom. Buttonwillow is the closest town, and there is no food or services for 70 miles until you hit the coast. So, I loaded up on a thiiiic breakfast burrito with egg and chorizo. It was very good. Homemade chorizo, plus cilantro, beans, and salsa. I hiked around and I am still stuffed in the late afternoon. Anyways, if you are in Buttonwillow and looking for some good Mexican food, this place is the spot!

It is what it is. These folks know that people who are on I5 looking for a sit down spot will likely visit, hence the interaction this weekend when I saw the menu on the wall was price-less and asked for a menu. (Hands over menu from stack of 100s) Here you go. But the prices have changed. Oh, to what? Depends on what plate you want. Oh okay... so the prices are all different? Yes. (Pause) Okay, what about the shrimp fajitas? (Says 13.99 on menu) That 's... 17... 27. Weird number choice haha. I wasn 't mad about it but it 's definitely shady. Food: mediocre, does the job. Next time, will be stopping by the Taste of India nearby.

Best Food! We found this place on Yelp and we're not disappointed! We ordered huevos ranchero chili verde which was accompanied by fresh, homemade corn tortillas and a salsa bar. The meat was incredibly tender, the eggs cooked to perfection and the rice and beans tasty. Highly recommended!

As I looked at the menu, I was told the prices aren't up to date. I asked what the price would be for the item I was looking at (chicken quesadilla) and the current price is $7 more than what is listed on the menu. Seems shady. Too bad because the food looks pretty good but I will stick to places with current and honest prices.
