Osteria Ribe’ - Buti

We were staying in Vicopisano and whilst chatting to other visitors we were advised about a great dining experience whilst they were in Buti, as it was only a stones throw away we deciddd to give it a try, So so glad we did too, aware it only opened from around mid-day to 15.00 for lunch, we made our way, there was no menu for lunch, the owner did advise what was on offer (there isa menu for evening dining) we were shown to a table, all very tastefully done out in old with a modern take style, very clean and spacious, We were given the choices of the day, I had spaghetti and tomato sauce (very tasty and lots of it) my wife had a mushroom and basil lasagna, yep, very very tasty and again, a large enough portion, along with bread (homemade I think) olive oil, a complimentary starter of zucchin with crispy bacon, which was absolutely devine and for desert, a taster size selection of four homemade cakes, again, just so tasty, with two soft drinks, a coffe and it didn’t even come to €20.... a real find, think it’s not been open long but can only see it thriving, would have loved to fine there in the evening in the square at Buti, however, the holiday just wasn’t long enough, if we’re in the region again, we’ll certainly be making another visit for an evening meal. Wonderful

I cannot praise Monika enough for going out of her way to help us during our stay in Buti. Not only was the food and atmosphere amazing but Monika's friend Orlando took us to our wedding ceremony when we could not get a taxi and would not take a penny for doing so. The food was excellent and when we took around 20 of our family and friends Monika devised a set menu that we all enjoyed. We would all recommend this restaurant which is also set in a lovely village square.

Stumbled upon this beauty on a Tuesday evening. Absolutely fantastic. Can recommend the Rosso bastardo red wine and the Le Rive (Sauvignon) white wine. Hosted wonderfully by this family run restaurant. 10/10, 5 stars.

In una fredda serata invernale stavamo mangiando in questo ristorante, che dire, eravamo a posto, abbiamo mangiato piatti semplici ma deliziosi toscani. antipasto di carni e formaggi con altre piccole preparazioni, pappardelle con cinghiale, vino rosso e così via! personale molto cordiale, anche ci hanno offerto il vino frizzante per celebrare il compleanno di mia moglie e più ci hanno offerto anche la caffetteria. che puoi volere di più?

Ambiente molto bello nel centro del paese. ottima cena: ottimo sia il peposo che il tartare. personale cordiale e cordiale. Per tornare indietro!
