We visited Friday with our friends. the service was great, the parachute very friendly and helpful and welcoming. a very cozy and warm ambiente around the magnificent large kamin with their eating effortfully cook on trivets. eating was simply laborious and...delicious great value for money with apero 4 courses and caffe for 30euros. comes definitiw again.
Great local homemade food. menu is available in the rule 3 options. we had a nice girl dinner here, but some found eating something fat. would have wished a selection of vegetables with the meal, but this is common in France. it was just kartoffel and. meat starters and deserts were in order, though. owners very pleasant and chatting. if they don't like to roam around the restaurant, then maybe it wouldn't be for them.
They must book in advance so that they can prepare their beautiful a pot meal, cooked by the fire in the restaurant. we had a great experience and loved it again with more people.
La Ferme de Panivol in Bussiere-Badil, Dordogne is in the most idyllic spot. At the end of a country lane that leads into nothing but green fields and woodland you are greeted by the sound of bird song and the surprisingly raucous chorusing of frogs...in the pond at the bottom of the garden. Guests, as well as the horses, cattle, hens and goats are given free-range to wander as they please. We stayed for a week in the Chambre d'hote and had frequent changes of bed linen and fresh towels most welcome given the night-time temperatures!. Breakfast and evening meals were served on the lovely terrace, under the shade of fruitful fig trees looking out to fields and woodland. Our hosts, Jean-Michel and Thierry, were so welcoming, attentive and warm nothing was too much trouble. We feel like we've discovered a little gem and it is a place to which we will return.
