Wood Street Chippy - Bury

This is the best fish and chip shop in Bury! They offer the tastiest fish and chips for miles around. I can’t believe they haven't received any awards. The owners are fantastic, and despite being on a limited diet to lose weight, I found their food absolutely heavenly. If there were a sign out front, it would surely boast about how delicious it is to eat here!

I saw this place on Facebook tonight and decided to drive from the Walmersley area, hoping to find a good English chippy. And oh my gosh, I am so glad I did! The food was fantastic; it was a classic English chippy experience. The chips were cooked perfectly, not the soggy white ones you often find at other places. The fish was delightful as well—everything was just brilliant. We’ve definitely found our new go-to chippy. It was worth the drive!

I absolutely love this fish and chip shop, and so does my workplace! It's the best chippy in the area! I've never been disappointed, and the staff are always friendly and enjoy chatting.

Excellent eating beautiful, friendly staff the children loved their chip louver! all our food was amazing, the nuggets were huge and my children all loved them. my little boy said that the man and 2 ladies make great eating! I had the special that was in estragon and it was beautiful. we're coming back. Thank you.

Lovely chippy. Always friendly and the chips are always fresh. I recommend the pea fritters, yum!!!
