came here for the durian cake! apparently they are not on the display because they are freshly baked. the cake is a huge puff bag with fresh durian inside. the combination of warm baked and cold durian are the best! this bakery has a lot of cakes from tasteful Swiss rolls, broth, birthday cakes and puddings. all are very cheap imo. so if u eat around the humsenden st, do not forget to pop there. maria is also very lv... Perhaps not one of the best of these bakeries, with harder older brot and higher preisen. the dry melon cake was the only bad item not know what the chewing paste was inside, but it didn't taste like there was any melon in it, but the sponge cream melons and coconut rolls are prepared for it.

A small load in which hot brot is not bad, good size and plentiful filling. the prices are somewhat cheaper than others. the cakes here not tried
With a smaller selection of goods than some other bakeries in Burwood, Maria's offers unbeatable value when the bell starts ringing and they start spruiking bags of bread from out the shopfront. On my most recent visit, the choice of a chicken sausage bun offered a substantial afternoon snack.
As you walk down Burwood road, you 'll hear a high pitched bell ringing and a sweet voice screaming five dollars! That 's Maria 's bakery inn- selling bulks of bread and pastries for $5. The bread is worth the $5, fresh, not overly sweet, and a great accompaniment to coffee or tea!
