Emperor's Bowl Chinese Restaurant

When I entered this restaurant, it has no customer and I thought as I am the only customer, I would get my food very fast. Unfortunately, I need to wait my take away food (stir fry noodle with meat veggies for at least 15 minutes. The food itself was quite nice and very generous in serving. I will come back again but when I am not in a rush for future.

This is a cozy little restaurant with very affordable prices. The portion sizes are decent and they stay open until midnight on weekdays. I visited around 11 pm and was surprised that the air conditioning was turned off and on for only 15 minutes before being switched off again, which was a little strange. Nonetheless, the waitress was polite and the food tasted okay.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious and offers great bang for your buck. Our top picks are the tender fish fillet in spicy oil, the chicken in special wine sauce, and the stir-fried okra and mushroom dish. However, on this visit, we decided to try the flavorful mud crab in spicy sauce and were not disappointed.

I would give this restaurant a 3-star rating for their food, but the extra star is mainly for their lunch special. For just $1 more, you can upgrade to the Sieu Lon Bow, which really takes them up a notch. I noticed that many customers were enjoying large mango drinks, although that's not really my preference. Overall, the noodles were just average.

Delicious Shanghainese food, good place to try new things the four flavour soup dumplings (including one with a strawberry wrapper, surprisingly works really well! and stir fried rice cakes with pork were our favourites!
