Main problem was that the online menu did not reflect the menu actually available. The online menu suggests a reasonably full range of nice-looking dishes, in reality the menu gave a choice of fish and chips, sausages and mash, halloumi or burger (plus various filled ciabattas). Good food and service yet choice was a bit limited although probably due to covid. Would definitely recommend.
Really fantastic food for similar prices to many pubs with more mediocre food in the area. Would return and recommend to others.
Have been there before grate food nice atmosphere warm and cozy
So sad to find only 4 tables occupied for dinner on a Saturday night. This place deserves support. The food was great, and staff really lovely who provided excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Wheel. Keep up the good work guys. My only tiny negative feedback would be that our halloumi starter was too big (for some that might not even be a negative! and the side salad with the burger was lacking a little bit of variety.
First time to this pub and not disapointed, welcoming friendly staff, very nice food (best veggi burger I have ever had)and very reasonable. We sat in the garden which has plenty of seating but the interior looked aslo pleasant. Would definitely recommend.
