Cuba De Ayer - Burtonsville

Good service. The waitress was very attentive. The arroz con pollo was well seasoned, moist and a generous portion that included three tostones(green fried plantains). The ambiance was nice with classic Cuban music playing. My only complaint was the manager or owner was sitting a couple tables away and disrupted my quiet lunch dealing with staff/operations issues , phone calls on speaker…was hoping for some coffee flan but decided to leave instead. Restaurants have to pay attention to the small details …

Tasty Mentirita drink (means little lie in Spanish) . Shrimp app was tasty. Pork was a little dry and missing flavor. Rum cake was good.

Visited Cuba de Ayer for my sister birthday. As usual, they did not disappoint. Our waitress (Marcela G) was excellent. She was super kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. She was constantly checking on us, making sure everything was okay. The food was great. Tasted like authentic Cuban food. I would 100% recommend this restaurant.

Best mojito I have had in long time, they make it the proper way and they put a real sugar cane wich I appreciated. We are the Ropa Vieja and the red snapper and it was delicious! For dessert we had the tres leches and we loved it, great service too!

It’s a local gem with best food and best service always.
