My partner and I had an outstanding experience on Saturday night (5/20) with exceptional service from Johnathan. The pulled pork and bride (presumably a typo for "bride" should be "brisket") were fantastic. However, the true highlight of the meal was the spiced watermelon dish. Oh my goodness! I even searched the internet for a recipe so I can recreate it at home. It was simply too delicious to be just a side. Once a... View all feedback.
What Lily K doesn't like about The Smith:
This place has so much potential! They make all of their food in-house and it has a really nice atmosphere. With that said, we ordered breakfast food which took about an hour and came lukewarm. We came at lunch time and there were one of maybe 5 groups there. If they had slightly faster service, this place would be such a gem View all feedback.
Visited Saturday afternoon. Our waiter Doug was attentive and very entertaining! Food was great! Especially the bride! Pigmeat and fillet of the beet were also delicious. We started with sweet potatoes Gnocchi and brussel sprouts pretty good and finished with yummy blueberry cobbler! The journey worth Pittsburgh and will return! Thank you.
Had a good time trying this place out. Doug was funny and friendly and I love the rustic/industrial feel of the decor. Very cool place with good food and chill atmosphere. Just remember to always keep some vegetarian options on your menu. I definitely want to come back
Forget about it!!! This is hands down the best BBQ place in Geauga County. My sons and I had to check the place out so we went the weekend of the Civil War reenactment. I must say, having been raised by a Southern Gentleman from North Carolina and returning there (down home) every year, I know Carolina BBQ. Forget the other two thick pasty BBQ sauces they offered (for Northerners, I guess) I chose the vinegar based finishing sauce I have come to respect. I is just the way Auntie (down home) makes it. This is hard to find living in the north...but I found it and its just up the road a piece!!! We will be back to enjoy the tastes of home.
Boy what a sleeper. They’ve been open 2 years and we haven’t been here yet. Not a bacon and eggs place, not weird haute cuisine either. An excellent value for food that’s a big cut above your basic diner fare
We have visited several times and we have lucked into entertainment by Thread a couple of times! Lovely atmosphere, comfortable yet intimate. Entertainment but you can still carry on a conversation. We have never been disappointed with the food. The staff has been pleasant and answered any questions we’ve had about the menu. Good to know they use locally sourced ingredients as well.
