What Fermin Kohler doesn't like about Snax:
Expecting something special and got disappointment, ribeye with bone sounded sensational and expected it for the price. But what I got was a chunk of what I would call cheap cut, tough full of sinew and to be honest not overly pleasant. $50 odd bucks wasted, the good lady had fish and chips, well, the fish was dry, looks like out of the bag shoe string fries and the salad was lettuceSorry won't be going back View all feedback.
Revolting. I tried the baked potato with chilli con carne and it was a congealed mess. The potato was still cold in the middle and the chilli was lukewarm and gristly. Yuck.
The service was shocking!! I have honestly never experienced anything like it at a "fine dining" restaurant. To me, fine dining includes everything ... not just the food. The service was not only inattentive but just plain rude! We were not greeted with a friendly staff member, we were shown to our table and left there for about 15 minutes before anyone came to offer drinks or even engage with us. We ordered drinks and didn't receive them for waaaaay too long. Eventually we had to flag down a waiter so we could order our meals, again no interaction at all she just took the order and left without confirming or even saying a word really. At a restaurant like this your waiter should be attentive and you should not have to try to get their attention all night! The only saving grace was the food, we had Peking duck as an appetiser at $11 per person which was quite fair in my opinion. We then got honey prawns and pork belly as mains with a side of rice. The food was really quite good but at the price we were paying it really seemed like a rip off just because of the experience we had. Prawns were $38 for 6 prawns and pork belly was $48 (I think) for 4 pieces. I really could go on and on about how disappointing it was but I would be here all day! Would definitely be making our way over to Nobu instead - better food, better price and definitely better experience.

Must say what a disappointing experience this restaurant was compared to all the other high end restaurants in Perth which we regular visit. Visited on Friday night for my birthday and was not impressed. From the very start you could tell that the staff were disinterested and inattentive. I had to ask for a new drink every time for myself and my wife with the final nail in the coffin having to ask for the waiter to come back and wipe down the table after the plates were collected. The food was great but you can get far better value in many other restaurants in Perth or at the Crown for that matter. I had heard great things but also that it had gone down in recent times and now I can see why. Even when I told the waitress as I paid that the service was horrible she merely says “I’ll let management know” in really robotic and nonchalant way. I would not recommend at all. It really shows how bad service can lower a restaurants ranks despite the food.
Did not enjoy. Will not return. Large room with very few customers this lunch time. Service lacked tact and sensitivity. None of the persons we were with will return
