The buffet lunch I had was great, absolutely no complaints.I've read other comments about tough meat and sub par food etc.The meat I had was superb. The knife cut through the roast pork like it was butter. Great, attentive service too.Using the Crown Rewards card lunch totaled $16! so I really don't get the expectations of the several whiny reviews here? What do people really expect for this price?I'll definitely retu... What Jamar Stamm doesn't like about Carvers:
If you ever want to do a basic all you can eat for a fraction of the price, here is the choice!
There are so much promotion going on regarding this place especially if you are Crown Member.
Food wise, it was okay, they have roast beef, pork and turkey which is pretty nice!
Dessert was pretty decent with good amount of choices too!

Dinner for four - lovely food and excellent cocktails. A larger range of wine by the glass would be good. The booking made clear that we'd need to vacate the table after 2hrs. Fine, we thought. Little did we know that it would take over 45 minutes after entrees for mains to arrive (so nearly an hour and a half since we arrived). This made for a rather rushed meal towards the end as we were really there for dessert! It wasn't busy, so we were a bit surprised.
Came here previously for their high tea. Tried the set menu and they were delicious! Highly recommended. Will be back to try their other dishes
The ambience of the place is great! We were seated at a quiet section of the restaurant overlooking the crown perth pool. What a view from where we're sitting. The staffs are very attentive and helpful. I have to say that the service on what seems to be a busy night is impeccable. The food came out pretty quick. We had different entree, onion soup and salmon with salmon caviar. The soup was very tasty and creamy and the salmon was refreshing, never thought that peach and salmon goes well together! Our mains are the pork belly and mushroom risotto. The mushroom risotto was perfectly cooked with good portion size. The pork belly with lentils was yummy and I wasn't a big fan of lentils but this dish changed my mind about lentils. Too bad we were too full to try their dessert so we had to call it a night. Had a great time and will definitely come back!
Love this place!! Had the squid ink pasta, was very different, however, was very delicious. The lamb was nice, downside is it's a small portion. Nevertheless the food and service is excellent!!
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here with a meal for two on Sunday night. And very much enjoyed it. The service was exemplary. Little touches, so often absent in Perth, were appreciated, like the young waitress who, as I walked back to my table from the bathroom, stood calmly and collectedly to one side as we approached that ever so slightly restricted gap between two tables. Why is it that in so many restaurants the waiting staff just barge past you? Our waiter was accomplished and friendly. When asked for advice he was ready to help without a hint of condescension. The food was smart and tasty. No it's not avant garde. But it's not claiming to be. Just classic tastes and flavours, using quality ingredients, cooked and presented well. I enjoyed the gazpacho while my wife similarly appreciated her crab salad. Swordfish was my wife's choice for main course, beautifully cooked on the chargrill and a healthy portion. My beef daube was a generous hunk of delightful falling apart luxury with a tasty jus and accompaniements. The wilted garlic spinach side was delicious and the waiter helpfully got the chef to provide a serve of steamed veg, even though not on the menu, being a dish which would accompany both our mains equally well. To finish we shared the tarte de jour- a choc and salted caramel delight. Other pluses? Well it's in the Entertainment Book this year so we got a discount too. And we didn't need to order and waste or overdrink a bottle of wine as there was an adequate selection of wine by the glass available. Quibbles? Not really. Maybe the mash with my beef could have been a bit more potatoey and less like a purée for my personal taste. Recommended for something classic and classy. And make sure you book in advance to get table overlooking the pool if you can.
