Very good food. Fast operation, not the well-known buffet, but rather a little more classic and reasonable; first eat, then order new is the motto and that I find exactly that. Sort by tablet and is very easy and works perfectly. Well adapted portions and everything I could taste was incredibly delicious. Lunch table differs in price and also in selection... In the end there is more, because this is more expensive, b... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Japanhaus:
despite reservation before a week we have a table next to a loudly grölden large company. the personal was extremely unfriendly, no smile, no visual contact. food was partially not ordered and ordered not come. the quality of food was more moderate. the dessert came in hallowed, which would have been in my house a long time ago. we were happy when we were able to escape the poor and stress and were out again. it was... Had a business dinner here with a colleague from Italy and one from Singapore. We had fun ordering different small plates to try different things and re-ordering the ones we liked best. You order on a ipad, but for some reason, they only have the menu in German/ Japanese, so you have to guess by pictures what the dishes are if you don't speak those languages. It was an adventure with excellent results. Everything we ordered was good and tasty and delivered very quickly.
We have been to the Japanhaus on a number of occasions for lunch but this was our first visit for the evening dinner experience. The basic concept is the same you order via the Samsung tablet 5 items per person and then re order again after 10 minutes and continue until you 're fit to burst. Our party of four adults, visiting over the break between Christmas and the New Year had great fun. We tried most of the items available on the evening menu and couldn 't fault any of the excellent food. This place is very popular even though it is rather out in the sticks. It looks odd as it is a typically styled Bergisches Landhaus certainly not the sort of place you 'd expect to eat Sushi and the other Japanese delicacies. On the evening of our visit the place was packed and noisy. It thinned out later in the evening but I must admit that we became increasingly irritated by a group of energetic young Alpha males who felt that the only way to communicate with each other was to shout and compete by laughing stupidly at each others jokes and remarks. I would have appreciated one of the staff asking them to tone it down a bit. We got close to doing it ourselves but didn 't want to make a scene... Anyway, this visit was again a success. We 'll be back!
My colleague and I rushed up from Leverkusen to the Japanhaus to grab a quick lunch. After parking for free directly outside this traditional Bergische Landhaus building we were welcomed by an friendly oriental lady who asked us to choose any free table we preferred. She then explained patiently to my lunch partner how things work here. For the princely sum of 9,90 € you can choose essentially all you want from the easy to follow menu. Using a iPad you choose your meal and drinks. Each diner can choose 5 items which are brought quickly to your table. You can repeat this exercise every 10 minutes until, like us you stop, completely full up and entirely satisfied. The food was excellent fresh and authentic. I love sushi soaked in wasabi spiked soy sauce. The service was professional, quiet and efficient. Certainly a great place if you love sushi and Japanese related food.
