Description
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag at Pans**
Pans, a restaurant known for its fish and chips, operates with limited hours, closing from 2 PM to 5 PM, which some find inconvenient, particularly travelers seeking continuous options. While the fish and chips can impress with well-cooked fish and crunchy batter, there are inconsistent experiences, with several diners reporting poorly cooked dishes on occasion. On the positive side, gluten-free options and outstanding burgers shine through, attracting repeat customers. The service is often highlighted as friendly and welcoming, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience—provided diners hit the restaurant on a good day.

I had the best fish and chips from Pans tonight. The fish was thick and truly delicious. I will definitely be back! The service was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly.
I've had fish and chips here three times in the past eight weeks, and each experience has been quite mediocre. However, my most recent visit a few days ago was particularly disappointing. The fish was mushy, and the batter was undercooked. The chips were overcooked and had a taste of old oil. Honestly, I'm struggling to find any decent food options in Mildura. And don't even get me started on the pizza places! It really needs a revamp. Meal type: Dinner.
I’ve had issues with my orders every time I’ve visited. Tonight, I received chicken strips that looked more like chicken fingers. I had a negative experience back in August, but decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, I still wasn’t satisfied. They might have had an off night, but I left unhappy tonight.
